Basketball
Basketball is a regular activity within our program, supporting participants to build confidence, develop social and communication skills, and increase engagement in community-based activities.
Sessions are tailored to each participant’s goals and support needs, with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and active participation. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace, with staff providing the right level of support to promote independence and positive interactions.
This activity supports participants to work towards their goals, including getting out into the community, building confidence, improving wellbeing, and developing everyday skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Community Access
Community Access Services
Getting out into the community is a big part of what we do at Olive Grove. These days support participants to build confidence, develop independence, and feel more comfortable in different environments.
We support participants with everyday activities like using public transport, shopping, and spending time in the community, as well as outings like trips into Melbourne and nature walks. Each day is shaped around the group and individual interests, keeping things engaging and meaningful.
With the right level of support, participants can build skills, increase independence, and strengthen their confidence in the community while working towards their personal goals.
Short Term Accommodation (STA) & Respite Weekends
Our respite weekends offer a relaxed and supportive space for participants to spend time away from home while feeling comfortable, safe, and part of the group.
Weekends are shaped around the people attending, with a mix of community outings, shared meals, and downtime to recharge. Whether it’s heading out for a walk, visiting new places, or simply enjoying a slower pace, the focus is on creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
With the right level of support, participants can build confidence, develop independence, and strengthen everyday skills, while also giving families and carers time to rest and recharge.
